Hi Horselover:
My name is Melody and I joined these forums awhile back because my husband Alan had Idiopathic Polyneuropathy for 18 years. While we still have questions, we are learning more and more about his condition all the time. He is now undergoing home infusions of IVIG. I never heard about these things before I came to this forum. You learn lots of stuff here. I am also a diabetic and I, myself have neuropathy, but nothing to the degree that many of the people on these boards have (and that includes my husband). We all have stories to share and sometimes we make each other laugh. We do though need a bit more information about you and your background (healthwise), For example, what kind of tests have you taken, any meds besides the cymbalta. So if you want to share, please reply and somebody will jump right on board. Take care, Melody

It took a lot of time and thought to compose the reply to you on the first page. Did you see it? Is there anything that you'd like to discuss?
Horselover, please reply so we know you are OK. We're worried about you.

Bob:
I thing Mr. Fignewton might have gotten scared, disgusted and just plain gave up. I do hope that is not the case. There's lots of information on these boards, as well as friendly folk. But unfortunately, when depression hits, as is often the case with many neuropathies, some people just plain give up. They think there's no way to get better. Well, I'm here to say that if my Alan could get off a 125 of the fentanyl patch and vicodin, then ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE. (as they say in the bible), and I'm not even religious. lol Melody

horselover is having a very very hard time, has rare access to a computer, or went on vacation. Alternatively, we might have overwhelmed him/her.
Lastly, horselover may not realize how real we are and the work we put into our replies. What a shame.

I do agree that he should say something if he is just lurking. But being a little computer illiterate and having medication caused confusion is a possibility also. And if he is in the bad weather area and is in a rural area like we are, the possibility of not having an internet is there.
We have an antenna for our internet access and if it is really rough weather we sometimes lose it. We were in a storm a couple of nights ago that was really rough. We were actually in a tornado path and the antenna bit the dust again. It usually takes a couple of days to get it back. Got it back today. Hope you are all o.k. tonight. Weather's been rough. I have never, and I mean never, seen weather like this before in Brooklyn, NY. It has not stopped raining since last night. They are talking about it on tv (that is when my sattelite is working). Alan was watching The Apprentice and he starts yelling at me "my sattelite went out". I calmly walked over to him and said "why on earth are you yelling, do you not know what it is doing outside?"
Boggles the mind. First I had no picture, then I had sound and no picture. Now I dont' have anything. Who cares though because you can watch any Apprentice episode online for free. I wish it would stop thundering and lightening. Don't like that kind of stuff. They just said on tv that today is the wettest day IN HISTORY!!! jeez. we made the Guinness Book of records. Over 5 and a half inches of rainfall. Oh well. Summer's coming. By the way, my neuropathy is similar to Alan's in this weather. It doesn't hurt. Gotta love the rain!!!! Melody

Quote:
The consequences are serious and frightening: widespread brush and forest fires, dying fish and wildlife, water supply going way down as cost goes way up. Less water and more expensive water leads to major agricultural losses, and loss of jobs from industries that need ample water. If this continues one more year, we'll get no more hydroelectric power from the giant dams on the Colorado River with grave consequences to our international megalopolis which stretches over 300 miles from Santa Barbara to Ensenada, Mexico. Global warming models predicted exactly this current San Diego scenario (dry areas become drier) and the current Pacific Northwest to US Northeast scenario (wet areas become wetter). I think dear Mother Earth has PN. ![]() Regarding Horselover, either he/she will respond or not. Its not fruitful to guess at reasons, motives, or causes without more information. I'm moving on to other topics, like the weather!.

It does seems strange there is no reply to anyones input, and i don't blame anyone that has been irritated by the no response but possibilities are endless really, could be a lot of things thats not in Horse lovers control at all, time will tell though.
I would say 99% of the people that do post here with their problems are really great full for all the work that goes into answering their concerns. But then there's the other side of the coin, that makes me angry ![]() take care all Brian ![]() |
