Default Hey Curious...

I thought I saved your email address, but NOT... What happens after you copy the heart to a file. Do you have to enter each Favorite into the new place?

I am still getting booted off, don't know why. I am on Verizon FIOS and still using aol...

Lightbulb 2 hints...

I don't know much about computers....
but I have learned here that:

1) only use the little box in the upper right corner to log in. The big box in
the log in screen itself does not work well for me for some reason.

2) this site does boot you off if you are not using the functions after a
time limit. In other words you cannot stay logged on forever (I can't).
Is this what you mean booted off? I have the log in set to type in my
password each time...no saving of it. If you are making a long post, it will boot you off too (this happens to me sometimes).

I don't always log in, sometimes I just read as a guest. This simplifies things a lot! I only log on to post.

Default Frustration...

It just booted me off again a few minutes ago. I don't know what the problem is.

I am only signing on in the box in the upper right hand corner, and I don't ever use any of the functions, because I am on a Mac and lots of times you can't do with a Mac on some forums, what you can on a PC. Most of my posts are not that long.

"Curious" helped me out before, but I have misplaced her email address.

Maybe it is our new service, which is Verizon FIOS.

Despite the rain today, which usually does a number on me painwise, I am having a reasonably good day. I have 5 squirrels entertaining me in the front yard, 1 in the back and 3 fat Mallard ducks who are crashed, sawing logs, by their feed dish in the front... 3 Yorkies are policing things to make sure there are no infractions committed... All of this on a city lot 60x120, that is mostly house...

Now, if I could just get my computer under control.

I have Verizon DSL and used dial up before that - no problems- but I don't know much about FIOS.

I'm thinking it probably has something to do with the settings on your computer or browser.

can you try downloading the FireFox browser and see if that might make a difference for you?
OH -looks like they recommend these for MACs-

Cathie,

I use Firefox on a PC running Windows XP and have never had problems with this site. Things may work very different on a Mac. Have you tried working with the moderators? They're great, and deal with a lot of problems on all the forums. Use a private message to one of them listed on the bottom.

Please keep us informed. Thanks.

Verizon FIOS is the latest internet thing. It's Fiber Optics and it's supposed to be the fastest thing (even faster than cable modems and DSL).

BUT.... if you keep getting booted off, this is what I would say to FIOS.

OFF WITH THEIR HEADS!!!!

lol

hope things improve soon.
