First off I would just like to thank everyone for their support on this journey. I went for a EMG and a Nerve Conduction Study yesterday and I must say the EMG hurt so bad! The EMG feels like you're getting electrocuted, lol!!! Anyways, the tingling in my toes is completely gone, but I now have tingling in my legs that's not sharp, but kind of uncomfortable. I have been taking magnesium, krill oil (by spring valley), vitamin d (I have been taking that before this happened), and I take b 12 (thank you for the excellent vitamin choices MrsD).
I am also free and clear of all drugs and I plan to stay that way for good. Anyways, I sometimes wonder if I'm healing or not and i'm trying not to let the worry drive me crazy anymore (even though it still drives me crazy). I cannot stress enough how bad all drugs are and I finally understand this even though I wish I would have listened instead of learning the hard way. I was also wondering if acetyl l carentine or alpha lipoic acid is good to take for tingling? Are these supplments safe and do they really work??? Thanks. |

I think R-lipoic acid is better, but I will let Mrs.D comment on that. But I would add Benfotiamine to your list of supplements.
Hope you are well on your way to recovery, it is a long slow road. I don't trust drugs at all, or doctors, for that matter. They are both needed but not wanted, ha! |

Thanks for the update.
If you want to add in something... do it one at a time, to see if it works. There is no way to know ahead of time which one of the big 3 will be best for you. Do r-lipoic acid stabilized 100mg/day for a month or so. If no response, then stop it and do the acetyl carnitine for a month, at 500mg a day. Then if nothing, do the benfotiamine 300mg a day to start for a month. You can do them in any order. That way you will find which work and which don't. You can save $$ and learn more this way about your body's needs.

For me, I need all supplements working together. I thought most people were like that. One was good, then adding others was 100% more effective. Like when putting CoQ10 with l Carnitine. They work together, for me at least with my illnesses.
