Default Willis Ekbom Disease

Restless Leg Syndrome is heretofor known as Willis Ekbom Disease. I am so glad they changed this name. I do think they need a public information campaign.

Any one who suffers from this disease is likely relieved at the name change. I just got so tired of the ridicule the old name engendered. It's not a 'funny' condition, it is miserable. I find it ironic that people with 'restless leg' need an antiparkisonian drug to manage the disease, but, yet, the disease was ridiculed. No one would dare to ridicule Parkinson's disease.

That is the way many of us feel about Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Someone gives something a silly name and it sticks. Then, people think you are tired.... Not even close. Serious illness.

Glad you are happy with a better name!
