The pain management doctor
I went to is having me do a cold laser treatment through his office. I was wondering if anyone has had this, if it works, or if its some sort of "scam" like Chakra alignment and false holistic practices. I know some really work but i don't know much about this or if it actually does anything...... |

I can't say if it will work or help for PN, but for muscle pain/soft tissue and joint pain it did work great for me.
My chiro used it on my shoulder, foot, wrist, elbows low back... I have some chronic RSI/TOS/myofascial pain, so at times various things flare up. It is not a scam, LLLT (low level laser therapy) is real, but it may or may not work for certain conditions.

It is worth trying I think, as well. We have some threads about laser here. But watch for contracts, and excessively high prices. I think your wallet might be something to consider and protect.
Like this one: http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/sh...ighlight=laser If you put "laser" into our search on the first page of PN forum you'll find other discussions. Search results don't work as links here so you have to do that yourself. I found about 70 threads today.

Oh yes make sure it is a actual low level laser and not a LED - they are often confused or misrepresented. Accindentally or on purpose..
They can look very much alike. LED is generally cheaper The laser tx will take much less time (approx 30 sec per spot) where the LED light therapy will take approx 20-30 minutes per area. www.laser.nu
