Ive spoken with a good friend who specialized in geriatric nursing and she gave me her thoughts on increasing pain as the day progressed: we wake up refreshed each morning and as time passes our natural peptides, enzymes, hormones etc get depleted. Makes sense as a contributing factor to me!

Inherited pn, chronic sore feet managed with gabapentin 300 3xday - this was the start of ongoing management, but for those special times, shall we say, I'm glad I have gel packs in my freezer - numbs the soles enough in 10 minutes to relax and get back to sleep.
