Question

can you describe the neuropathy symptoms for us?

Are they following the dermatome for the spinal area you
had surgery on?

It is always possible that you have ANOTHER thing going on too.

And it is possible you damage to your nerve roots at the level you had the surgery.

Figuring this out, can be difficult.

Can you give more detail?

Do your feet burn and hurt when you are not walking on them?

Do you have pain free periods at all.

Have you been to a good podiatrist to rule out mechanical issues in the feet?

This is a dermatome map:
http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=...9QEwAA&dur=975

It shows the areas where sensory distribution is on the body from the spine.

Many types of neuropathy give the sensation of walking on rocks or glass. My hypothyroid type was very much like that when it was bad.

If the compression is coming from your spine, there is not much that you can do for it. You can try Lidoderm patches, back there where the compression is located. It is best to know exactly the spot to place them, however. Putting them on the feet is not going to work, because the sensations come from the compression in the back (spine)
