Hi all. I've been on this site since May 2012, trying to make sense of my diagnosis of SFN and find ways to manage it.
My white blood cell count has been high (ranging from 11.2 to 12.1) over the past 3-4 years. No doctor has ever been able to figure out why my WBC number is always high, but my GP says the fact that the high range is CONSISTENT for me means it's probably nothing to worry about. Any insight? Thanks and here's to a pain-free day! APJH |

That is barely out of range.
Gum inflammation? Old root canals in teeth? Better a little high, than low IMO. I've had counts of 11 often too. If you have no elevated temperature or other signs to worry about, yours is not that high yet. I had a count of 38,000 once... that landed me in the hospital. I had an acute abdomen. http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/com...ECTION=results

Thanks for putting things in perspective--I didn't realize my high WBC was really not that high after all. Best, APJH |
