Default Finally a cause for SFN

Hi Everyone,
I saw an Intenist this past week who after talking with me for about an hour, and going over many test results, believes my SFN was caused by Tdap vaccine. mrsD I read your post on Vaccine injury it was so interesting.
I contacted an attorney to discuss what legal rights I have, so I am going forward with that, I learned there is a compensation program for people who have been injured by vaccine, but you have to file within 3 years, I'm almost at that 3 year mark. I'm so very sad I ever took this vaccine, but all I can do now is try to move forward and live as best I can with this debilitating disease. Don't really know if I will receive any compensation, it's not about the money anyway, I want people to be warned about what side affects, however rare, could occur from any vaccine! Now that I know what probably caused my SFN, any suggestions on how I can go about managing it? Thanks as always, you all are such a great support to me. Blessings, Jan

It must be a relief to know..

But I am also sorry you have to go
Through this.

When I return from vacation I'll look
Around for you in the literature. Things
are always appearing on this topic.

Hi, Jan... Does understanding bring some peace? I hope so. Though I likely know the cause of my neuropathy, and the struggle is painful, emotionally and physically. I looked up your ministry web site and listened to "Word of God Speak." Let it pour down like rain.... One of my favorite songs! I have the words printed and keep them in my Bible. It's like reading a modern day psalm. Your voice... beautiful. And that you can sing amidst the trial, a testimony to God's grace and peace that surpasses understanding. I really do hope that, with time, your body can heal and you'll know less pain.

Hi Cathy,
I suppose it does help to know the cause, but I'm a little angry at the Doctor 's office that almost insisted I have ths vaccine, I didn't ask for it, I just went in for a check up and they offered the vaccine telling me that it was important for me to have since I care for my two small grandchildren. I think these Doctor offices make a ton of money off of these vaccines and I'm not to sure they are looking after our best interest in just blatantly offering these vaccines, it makes me angry that they don't tell you about possible side affects, I know I for one if I would of been told about side affects I may not have taken it. That being said what's done is done, and as you know everything happens for a reason, when God allows a trial in our life He will surely see us through it, I trust Him, and I know He loves me so whatever purpose He has for this I will trust His Heart. I am hoping this new Internist will be able to help me to treat the SFN, he seems to be a really good Doctor, he spent nearly an hour with me at my last appointment, He did give me hope that we can find a treatment that will heal my nerves, but ultimately my hope is in the Lord, I believe the Lord sent me this Doctor to help me, so I am encouraged! How are you? Hope things are going well for you. So glad you enjoyed my website and thank you for liking my song, I have recorded 2 CD's of praise and worship music, it was so much fun, but a lot of work. I will be praying for you and all of us on Neurotalk, have a blessed day, Jan, oh I almost forgot... Thank you MrsD for getting back to me with information on what you think could help a vaccine induced neuropathy..have a wonderful vacation and when you get back I look forward to hearing from you. Blessings, Jan

I guess that the tetanus vaccine. I wonder how you can be protected without taking it. Would be awful to get that after gardening etc.

There are many ways to get it. It's if the bacteria is present.

Had the booster for years. Won't be getting it again. Take care of your scratches, cuts, etc. If they start to look funny than get to your doctor.

I had whooping cough when I was 3 months old. I almost died. That was a long, long time ago.
