Default acetyl- l-carnitine
So...is the carnitine in red meat that they are now saying increases cardiac risk factors the same substance that is in acetyl-l-carnitine?

You can also have carnitine levels measured by blood testing...
if you are worried by this. Some people become low when their own synthesis of carnitine fails for whatever reasons.

Hi, Now I know why my carnitine levels keep dropping. It's because I gave up all meat with the exception of fish.
Interesting article Mrs. D.. I suppose now we wait to see what research has to say about staying on the supplement.

Perfect timing. I just finished a bottle and probably will hold off on buying another .
My kidneys work too well also, so I probably don't need this. Will stick to the other supplements.
