Default Best R-Lipoic Acid??

Is anyone taking R-Lipoic Acid for their PN? I have been taking 200mg of Doctor's Best brand for about 1 month with small improvement.
While shopping on Amazon for another bottle I came across Life Extension brand of the supplement. It is about the same price as the Doctors Best that I have purchased in the past but it has good reviews pertaining specifically to PN so I am intrigued.
If you are inclined to check them out here are the links.
Doctors Best: http://tinyurl.com/cjca8g2 is comprised of 150 mcg D-Biotin and 100mg R-Lipoic Acid
Life Extension: http://tinyurl.com/chhdk4s is comprised of 30mg Sodium and Stabalized Na-RALA Sodium R-Lipoate (providing 240 mg of R-Lipoic Acid)
Knowing virtually nothing about supplements I am hoping that one of you has some information or an opinion on the difference of the two.
Thanks for your time!!
