Default b12 and magnesium

I've been taking 250 mcg - 500 mcg every second day of methyl B12, plus 100 - 200 mg of magnesium (amino acid chelated) and I think I've found a balance that is working for me. However, if I have too little B12, the chest tightness and arm paralysis comes back again, especially after I've gone to bed, and too little magnesium and my anxiety goes through the roof. However, I'm in a better position than a few weeks ago.

My question is, how does b12 and magnesium work together?

Did taking magnesium unlock the b12 in my body for me to use?

Are there any other essential vitamins or minerals that I should make sure to take?

thank you

There are over 300 functions for magnesium alone in your body.

B12 also has many jobs. There might be some overlap, but they both are critical nutrients. Magnesium works to relax muscles, and block excessive pain receptor activity (NMDA) and as a cofactor in fatty acid metabolism. Magnesium is essential to proper mitochondrial functions (energy production).

B12 has many jobs too, one of which is to repair myelin in the nervous system.

I would really try and use a higher dose of that B12. So little is absorbed orally you need a high dose daily to keep up with it.

thank you Mrs D. I also have 1 x 1mg hydroxo B12 injection per week, but I will try to increase my dose.

Are there are other vitamins that I should try to take or keep an eye on?

How high should my vitamin D levels be?

The new "normal" in the US for D is 50.

Fish oil, helps too. And a B-complex.. B-right by Jarrow is a good one. Not to high a dose, and has some activated B's in it now.
