Default What helps?

What drugs keep you comfortable? What makes the leg weakness go away? What makes your feet stop burning?

Hi FiestLady24,

I bring good news.

The news is that a lot of that buzzing/vibrating and even the burning can get better with time. These symptoms will probably go away or abate to the point that things seem normal. It will just take some time for things to quiet down. I am using a drug called Lyrica to help me. It quiets down the nervous system. I also take pain meds as needed for breakthrough pain and I have had some luck using Alka Seltzer for burning especially where inflammation is involved. Also the supplement Alpha Lipoic Acid has worked for a lot of neuropathy sufferers. Please google it.

When you go onto your new insurance, I suggest you find a pain specialist that can talk to you about managing your condition.

In the same way you manage your household, your kids, the meals, with care and love, you will learn to manage this problem too.

Please don't be jealous of women who you think are perfect and healthy. Nobody is perfect. I met a very nice woman last week at a work function only to find out she has a transplanted liver and takes 40 anti rejection pills a day. Would I trade places with her?? NO!!

Live your life and love yourself the way you are. This illness may have crept up on you but you are still You! The gorgeous strong Italian woman. (I looked at your photo)!!

Aussie
