Default Technically speaking--

--you've been blogging for years; what you do just wasn't called that then, and now the defintion is somewhat more technical and restrictive than I think it deserves to be.

Each of us who has a long web history on these boards and others like them actually has a "blog" of sorts. Set up your own website and post to it often, with room for commentary, and you meet the more restrictive definition. Still, Mrs. D, Rose, Silverlady, LizaJane, Wings, Cara (JCC), Brian, myself, and so many others have had the equivalent of blogs going for some time now--I suppose it would just be a matter of staking out your own domain and posting a lot of the current threads to it.

I am cognizant of the fact that operating the more "literal" kind of blog is very time-consuming--like the beast, it needs to be fed, and a lot of us are already feeding a lot of beasts (I regularly post on numerous boards, and regularly read at probably two dozen now, and I'm sure that's not an isolated occurrence). But considering the amount of vitamin/supplement info you've compiled, it would be good to have it all in one place, with the added safety of protection from board crashes. (I'm sure that's part of the reason Cara/Rose set up their websites.)

Talking Thank you all so far...

I'd have to start it after the summer. I can think about it then. I am a "slow" mover these days.

But I noticed when I made a comment on my son's blog, that it went to a
"moderation" place...and he will decide to put it up or not. This I like. Because of my "past" experiences, I'd need a moderation feature, in order to feel safe. I hope there is a logging IP feature, where I could have that record as well.

Like Glenn I agree, we have all been blogging in one way or another.

I think the latest insult from BrainTalk was the final straw for me. This way I can put my blog in my siggie and they won't block that, ...I hope, since there will be no commercial gain on the blog, other than my own experience.

Default MrsD

BLOG????? By all means, please, please, please...

And please send your son down here. He is so smart! I have a Sony Cyber shot that I haven't a clue over and also a Mac that isn't far behind that...

I thought I would use the Sony, but things kind of went down hill after the father of the bride was exposed, naked as a jaybird, to my neighbors quite accidentally...

We really were not taking porn pics. I was just practicing in the hotel room before my daughter's wedding... Oops...

And that was the end of my "digital" career...

Default Wow

We are such a small community....I sometimes wonder why I blog here...but I do know why....it makes me feel better. A small group of people with assorted problems coming together to be supportive and helpful...as much as I love my wife...she can't understand what I am truly going through.....but...our little clan.....certainly does.

hi MrsD~

I think a blog sounds like a great idea! You could share your knowledge about health and nutrition, drug safety, and share some photos of nature and cats, and maybe even share some of your original art work, too! Fantastic idea!

Blogs/ googlepages do provide safety from crashes, and the freedom to reference whatever you want to reference. And I think it's great that anyone can set these things up for free .

I don't know how difficult it is to set up a blog, but the googlepages are a breeze.

My friend Karina has done a beautiful job with her blog... she is an artist, writer, and cook.. and her blog is inspiring!

I say GO FOR IT!

Cara

Default I agree - BLOG

Mrs. D.
I have learned so much from you. I actually keep a notebook at my computer and copy down all the info. you provide. Your knowledge of medicine, supplements and health in general is phenomenal. You need to share it with everyone. Thanks to you I am taking the supplements you suggested. You are a "fountain" of knowledge. I am most grateful to you for your immediate responses to questions asked and your thorough research background that you have.
I think the blog is a great idea. I'd probably go back to Mrs.
Doudtfyre since previous things were under that name.
Maybe a title could be
Learning about medicine, medications, and alternative practices from Mrs Doubtfyre. Just an idea since this is really what you provide for us. Maybe something added could be "research based and personal experience" after the title.
Best wishes
Sydney

Default Mrs. D one more thing!!!

Want to know how valued your opinion is, in this house??

Every day, if Alan and I are discussing something about neuropathy, (either his or mine), the first thing out of his mouth is: "What do you think Mrs. Doubtfyre would think??"

WHOO HOO!!! MRS. D!!!!!!!!!
