My compounded cream contains:
Amantadine/Orphenadrine/Diclofenac/Imipramine
I feel as though it makes me feel dizzy, or 'groggy" - could this be possible?

Yes, mine effects me this way.
I was given Lido, prilo, Lamotrigine, Meloxicam, and Ketamine, doesn't help the PN pain, but helps on the knees... I figure for $400 might as well use it where it works...

I have atypical Trigeminal neuralgia. Heavy duty pain. I use a compounded cream with lidocaine, Capsaisin and Gabapentin with fairly good results. However, my insurance no longer wishes to cover it's cost and it is crazy expensive.

Does anyone know if Medicare drug benefits cover compounding creams? I must have this medication and can't work due to all the pain.

Also, looking for any other insurance info. Regarding compounded medication.

I have Sensory Motor Polyneuropathy and SFN, and my prescription for compound topical cream is: Ketamine 10 %, Lidocaine 10 % and Gabapentin 5 %.
I use this 3 times daily as /if needed in addition to Amitripthyline and Lyrica for neuropathy pain. I use the cream only on days of flares.

Here's mine:

Ketamine 10%, Clonidine .2%, Amitriptyline 2%, Tetracaine 2%, Gabapentin 6%, base cream

I had tried one before that was not nearly as effective as this formula containing Clonidine. Well worth the $100/jar and lasts a good while.

Beatle is that $100 with or without insurance??? Mine is $800 without insurance. How many times a day do you apply the medicine? Please tell me more here or in a pm. Maybe I can use your pharmacy.

Without insurance. That seems to be the going rate around here for a tub that lasts 2-3 months.

[Everyone is different first of all.
I use ketamine 15% LAM and its better than any oral medicine for scarred nerve and CRPS in the arm area. I used vit D 50,000 iu to low back before and after lumbar disc surgery and it was better than any oral pain medicine.
Tried a mixture of meds that had amitriptyline, ketamine 8% , balcofen and NSAID and it did nothing. So good luck. The oral medicines don't really help the bad pain in the radial nerve when it gets horrible only the compounded ones do.

Anyway, I am fortunate that both Gralise 1200mg/day (extended Gabapentin) and 5% Lidoderm patches. Would compounding these together be a good place to start? A better question is how much?
