Default Hi from Melody

Hi all. I realize I have not posted in quite some time. I do try and go on the Welcome to New Member forums but lately, well it's been a bit much for me. Alan has had this recurring foot ulcer for quite some time. He had to be off his foot for the past few months (and I collapsed in December or thereabouts because of my bad knee). So I take care of him, the house, everything. I dress his foot ulcer every day, and every tuesday we go to the podiatrist. Access a ride kicked him off, he lost an appeal (the guy can barely walk) but they don't care. He wears the Crow boot.

We now have a lawyer and we are going for an Article 78 against Access a ride). He still has severe neuropathy, and at night sits there with this vibrating massager on his thigh and he says it brings the blood flow into his foot so that stops the pins and needles a bit. They never found out exactly why he has neuropathy for 20 years. He's had every single test in the book. But he has severe spinal stenosis and they say they can't do a thing about it. He's been to all the back doctors for YEARS. Not one said "we think the neuropathy might be because of your back". Now they say "well, it could be'. And he has auto immune stuff going on. It's a vicious cycle. But the foot ulcer came back because of ill fitting orthotics and his having a high arch. As of yesterday, his podiatrist said "wow, it's healing nicely, it's now superficial", come back next Tuesday. And the doc debrided it and wrapped it. So I dont know how long it will be until it's healed. I have to do everything in this house and I have my own issues.

Sometimes it gets to me. It's very overwhelming. Thank god I have my hobby (sprouting and microgreening) which feeds the both of us. I would be lost without doing this.

I'm 65 and I'm tired.

Thanks for listening. And I do hope that most of you are at least doing okay today.

Mel
