Default Is it Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

I had my EMG yesterday which showed slight CTS in my right hand but normal in my left. I have been having numbness and pain in my fingers for the last 3 months. I wake up in the night and my hands are numb, my little finger goes numb when driving and gripping is difficult, my thumb, first and middle finger go numb when typing/reading/manual activities. I experience episodes of severe forearm pain and when I first lie in bed at night my fingers seem to throb. I have been on Naproxen for 2 months (all it did was give me chronic IBS), only complete rests has eased the symptoms. Blood tests normal.

I was very dis-heartened as I hoped the results of the EMG would be definitive. The person conducting the test said small nerve fibre damage would not be picked up by EMG. Can I still have strong CTS and a normal/slightly abnormal EMG.

They also said the little finger numbness did not fit with CTS. Ulnar EMG also normal.
