Tongue

I understand.

Even professional places LIE.... There is a 2nd compounding pharmacy...this one in Tenn. With outdated stuff on their shelves they made into contaminated INJECTIONS and now people have
abscesses! It is in our Health News forum today or yesterday.

Doctors lie to their patients too... the lying is more rampant now
I think than ever.

NOW brand also claims molecularly distilled too:

NOW has always been a good company.

I think today fish oils are made quite well...years ago not so much. Years ago we used Carlson's.
Hi Mrs. D., fish oil is a supplement I have not added yet. Do you use it and if so what type. I guess I didn't realize it was good for hypothyroidism. I'd appreciate any info thanks!

FYI I was told by a nutrition therapist that probiotics are good for hypothyroid.

I had never heard that.

I have used probiotics off and on thru the years but never heard it was good for thyroid. After he said that I did some research and many do say that is true though I have yet to figure out why.

Hypothyroid is the cause of my PN.

@ Hopeful, I use Krill oil now. And choose smart foods with Omega-3s in them. My husband does not like fish much, so we stick with supplements for him.

MrsD after you said you use krill oil I went on a mission to check it out. Geeze, it is as confusing as fish oil!!!! Some folks say its just over priced, some say the oil has less time to get processed before it goes bad, etc. Others say it's the new miracle oil better than gold.

Why do you believe Krill is better than fish oil? What benefits do you see from it that are noticeable?

Still on my quest....lol

Didn't I give you a link to Consumer Reports?

Must have been another thread?
http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/2...-oil/index.htm

I get ours at Costco so the cost is not much of a factor. Outside of Costco the price does go up pretty high in stores locally.

The new coupon book that goes into effect on 6-13 at Costco
has a $5.00 coupon on MegaRed products.

Hi Stacy How did you find out that your PN was caused by your Hypothyroid. I have had hypothyroidism for 20 years and have been on Synthroid. I was told about a year or so again after an ultrasound that I have Hashimotos but no one has ever suggested to me that this is the reason for my PN.

Two doctors said it COULD be my hypothyroid after going through my tests and stuff. So then I began to research it and low and behold I found that hypothyroid CAN cause pn. Also, while it is not definitive, my numb spots on the back of my heels improved after getting on thyroid medication.

So far my pn has not progressed but stayed the same, if somewhat improved since supplements and dessicated thyroid meds.

Could there be something else that caused it? Sure, but right now neither myself or my doctors would know what, and I have stopped wondering what can cause it and just focus on how to treat it.

Edit to add: go to http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ that place is amazing.
