I have been getting very frequent squeezing sensations in my left foot--alot of times it is along my arch, sometimes on the top by the toes. Is there a way to know if this is sensory, or if my muscle is spasming? I look at my foot when it is happening to see if there is clear movement, and I don't see anything specific. I do have frequent muscle twitching in this foot. Just curious if anyone has this, or has an idea of which one it's likely to be.

I have alot of problems with my left foot. It swells too.
Either this is my angioedema problem, or a result of an old
complicated surgery on the instep... I don't know.

It seems to flare and go down, willy nilly. I am just coming off
a flare. I use the magnesium lotion on it with great success.
Seems this improves circulation there because the swelling goes down quickly after the lotion is rubbed in. I only apply it on the
top of the foot, and up and around the ankle areas.

Sometimes the 2 middle toes spasm as well. I think the scar
tissue where the tumor was pulls on the tendons, etc.
But the podiatrist and my internal medicine doctor just look at
it blankly and shrug. I try to keep it elevated as much as possible. When it flares I get pain in the medial side of the ankle, and when it swells it gets very "hard" and is difficult to flex at all.

Morton's Epsom lotion, is something to try... It really helps alot.

A little goes a long way.. a quarter's diameter rubbed in, does the trick.

I started using the Epsom lotion, at night. My feet don't appear swollen, except maybe my pinkie toe, which is the weak part of my foot. I wish I knew if it were spasming vs. sensory--the treatment is so different.
