I have sensory motor neuropathy, and my motor symptoms predominate. My sensory symptoms are numbness up to my knees but my motor symptoms are definitely the most annoying. A lot of my muscles have become spastic as a result of being so weak due to the motor neuropathy (they don't get any input from my nerves).

If you have numbnes as well, then I would think that you have sensori-motor neuropathy as well. My nerve conduction studies show sensori-motor axonal neuropathy.

You are right, there are not many on this board with motor symptoms, but there are a few of us.

i have sensory motor neuropathy also with numbness now up to my knees. It has really taken off in the last 2 months, previously up to the bottom of my calves. As far as motor symptoms i just feel very heavy in the legs if i walk too fast and forget about running. i also get very heavy in the arms if i try to do something over my head. i get very tired easily also. otherwise i dont think i have any other motor symptoms.

what motor symptoms are you having raglet?

Echoes long ago - I have a bilateral foot drop and wear AFO's (plastic braces that come up to my knee). I also have damage to a peripheral nerve in my hip which means I can't lift my leg on that side and the knee on that side is starting to buckle (which is from the hip thing). I also have a lot of cranial neuropathy with damage to my tongue, swallowing, facial droop on one side, and areas of numbness on my face. Oh, the motor neuropathy has also given me club feet which is rather weird - I can never remember everything that it has done. The latest thing has been atrophy to the tongue, but that is just because I can only use one side of my tongue so the other side has wasted.
