Default It worked...but with a price?

Update: I got my thyroid med does upped to 1 1/2 grain from 1 grain. I believed it would help my pn burn, and I have only been on the meds about 4 or 5 days and IT WORKED.

My burning is 90% better already. Amazing. It actually started to work within 48 hours of starting meds. I kept thinking it was in my head but even hubby said last night "your feet are better aren't they?" I said ya, how did you know? He said "cuz you aren't spraying them with your water bottle every 5 minutes".

HOWEVER.

Now I have constant ringing in my ears. It is driving me crazy. I was so happy to have the pn burn gone but now this ringing...is horrid. I find myself asking, which is worse, burning feet or ringing with no off switch???

Depressed. Why can't I even enjoy the moment.

Stacy, I have had tinnitis since 1985 after a surgery in my middle ear. You can get used to it. It was so scary at first but I rarely think about it now. Maybe you can tell the doctor and maybe it can go away??? Maybe a dose that is a tiny bit different?

Oh sally, I can't imagine living with this. But then I feel the same about pn. I guess we all find a way to live with what life hands us.

My neck is hurting like a slept on it wrong, so I am going to get an app with my chiropractor. Maybe that will help.

Another tinnitus sufferer here, and yes, like Sally said: I got used to it. Most days it's not even there, it seems.

I don't think it is linked to your dose increase BTW.

Feel for you but just know it can go away or become hardly noticeble. Good news about the pain though!

Gosh I hope it is not from my dose increase. The dose has been a miracle for my burning pn. My only fear is...how long will it last. I cant keep increasing my dose, at some point enuf is enuf. But I am trying to enjoy the moment and enjoy the painfree/burnfree time.

I was not sure if the ringing is from dose increase or my neck being out or just coincidence.

Yet another tinnitus sufferer. Mine is 24/7 but as others stated you'll get used to it. It's kind of like living next to the railroad track...it just becomes so common place that you don't even hear it.

Thyroid is just one reason for tinnitus. There are so many.

Over 500 meds and chemicals are associated with it also. So common for people to have.

Very glad to hear that, but not the tinnitus. You might check to see if the tinnitus is a known side effect of your thyroid med., and if/when it will resolve. Hang in there.
