I ways paying $20 a month for dialup, but when a got $500 phone bill, i soon went to ADSL and its much ,much better & cheaper than dialup.
For me, it was a lot more expensive using dialup when including all the calls and those damn drop outs all the time , and people can't get through to you on the phone when your using the net, its well worth the extra bit of money for me anyway.

have been 'Trained' by their cats? Believe me, when they 'train' they CONQUER!!

Heck, nothing like the sunrise 'eye-lid lick' to get the idea Garfield propounds...FEED ME! MEOW NOW!!!! It's very hard to ignore a huge mongo-beast tromping up yer torso doing this sort of thing.... {BTW, my 'trainer' was one hefty big-long 18 pounder!}

But as cats say "life is hard, then you NAP!" I think that is one good philosopy! Good heart to all! - j

Aren't you Soooooooo right Joan, my 18 year old feline definatly picked me for her owner, probably she looked at the size of my belly[ in them days ] and thought she wouldn't miss out out on a good feed in my home
Yeah, and they don't have to be able to speak to get their message through, her eyes just constantly stare into mine with a poor starving helpless look until i feed her , mind you she only eats food that we have, fish and chicken NO cat food tins, she won't eat it, so yes, she defiantly has trained me.

I didn't have to sign in.... I just typed "talking dogs" into the search and it came up. The cats one is really funny too.

We had a cat years ago that would say "Goooooing" Going every time we put her in her cage to take on vacation.
And one summer when we were leaving she said NOOOOOO Goooooing when we
put her in the cage!

And our oldest one now, says Maaaa? (she learned this sound when my son was younger and would run in the house calling me...Maaaaa! Now my cat goes up to my husband when I am not home for a while (like at work) and says to him MMMaaaaa? And he says, Ma is coming home soon, and that seems to satisfy her! She makes other sounds too... but not as good as the MMMAAAAA.

Our youngest cat says ooooH oooooH for out. We don't know if that is her attempt at out, or saying her own name=Oreo So sometimes we call her
oooooh oooooh... the O sound as in ou.... not long O

These YouTube videos were very funny... I loved the "hello" ones the best!

Yes Mrs D, they are so funny, your cats sound amazing too, unreal with the one waiting for you to come home, and what the others did too, just about human.

You know I think cats learn to mimic because they sit and stare at you hoping you are telepathic and know what the those thought messages are they are sending you! Like:

1) Get rid of the snow and cold weather, will ya?

2) where is the food?

3) scratch under the chin, not the ears!

4) come on outside with me--stop sitting around like a slug! (ours like to go for walks, especially on vacation.)

5) let me OUT!

Absolutely Mrs D, i couldn't agree more, i think its easy to under estimate their intelligence, they can be clever and very, very cunning.
