I am on 300mg a day of Gabapentin for early stage PN and have been taking this for nearly 3 months, my symptoms started out with my left foot vibrating intermittently, then the right (and burning only in r foot) and occasionionaly the left hand, but since taking the Gabapentin I have episodes of thumb twitching left hand only, I wanted to ask if this is a side effect of the meds ( I read it can cause tremors) but this is more a twitch than a tremor ! as initally I thought I may have PD as my grandfather had it and I know most PD symptoms start in the hand and not the foot.
Can anyone advise. Thanks in advance |

I was on eighteen hundred milligrams of neurontin a day. my Dr just switched me to lyrica but I just now within the last few weeks noticed my thumb twitching so I would say it's a sign of PN and not a side effect of your medicine but that's just my opinion.
