Default The light at the end of the tunnel thread.

I am finally going back to work today and considering I am a contractor, and am on Neurontin, Cymbalta and Percocet, I am a bit concerned about being loopy with power tools in my hands. Thankfully I am just applying Restore to a clients deck so its going to be hard to cut a finger off with a roller

Bills are mounting and I need to start working after only working 4 days in the last 3 weeks. I am actually really looking forward to today, as it will be the first day in 2 months my life will be getting back to normal.

Pain is under control and I see light at the end of the tunnel. I am still a newbee to all this so I am sorry if my optimism is a bit premature but I need to stay positive.

My nerve conduction study yesterday showed I have carpal tunnel in both hands and PN in my feet. 4 out of 10 from the nerve conduction study.

Anyway I would love to hear how you all spend your everyday lives when we arent in pain, work or not.

We all play a roll in this crazy world and I love getting inspiration from hearing about others hobbies, professions and sports and such.

Stay positive and prayers.

Lightbulb

You might investigate the chemicals
You come in contact with your job.

Toxins from the environment can
Cause PN. Breathing fumes or skin
Contact of solvents and fungicides
And other chemicals can damage nerves.

What type of PN do you have in your feet? Just curious.

I don't want to highjack the thread, but its interesting that you have reminded us of this possibility. I've been a house cleaner for over 8 years, working with chemicals almost every day of the week. I don't wear a mask , or gloves for the most part. I certainly wonder if this is the cause to my mysterious nerve damage.

To the OP, good luck starting back up at work
Take it slow, and congratulate yourself. It helps to have a regular routine and purpose. When were sitting at home constantly researching our illness, it can take over our life.
