Default Laser for Neuropathy

I went to a pain clinic and the anesthesiologist I saw suggested laser (not cold ) for my neuropathy, saying he had much success with this. I had one 15 min. treatment and was filled with hope. The next day I had worse pain than I have ever had, and 2 weeks later it still hasn't subsided. I despair ,as all they said was "this has never happened before" which doesn't help me in the least, and had no suggestions to offer. Has anyody else ever experienced this?

Could that be the problem? The ads/articles I've seen have been for cold laser therapy.

There are other names for laser treatments-
low level laser therapy (LLLT)
soft laser
cold laser

Sometimes LED light therapy can be confused with the true laser light therapy.. but usually LED would take longer time sessions.

Hmm, I wonder if since it worked for a short time it might take more than a few sessions to see lasting improvement..
but since your pain has increased... I can see that you'd be hesitant to try more..

Is the pain in the same area as before the laser?

Sometimes treatments will work for some , but not work for others.. very sorry your pain has increased..
