Ok, cool.

I ended up ordering this product which looks like it has both some plain acetyl l-carnitine as well as acetyl l-carnitine arginate so I have both covered. Now it has 300 of the plain(acetyl l-carnitine hydrochloride) and 320 of the arginate kind (acetyl l-carnitine arginate dihydrochloride), so I assume I dose it as if it was 620mg and try to get as close to the 2000mg you recommend for neuropathy? Or does the arginate change things up regarding dosage?

The arginate increases the weight of the product, so that there is less % of carnitine/mg of total weight. If the label says
so many mg of arginate containing X amount of carnitine that would be clearer.

Remember only about 15-18% is absorbed in the GI tract anyway.
So in general dosing is not critical, as it is for RX potent drugs.

Keep in mind that if you don't eat enough Lysine, you might consider an equal amount of it to balance the amount of arginate.
