I've been taking the methylB12 daily since we've gotten it. I'll keep at it.
I found the lotion at a store that's about a 60 second drive from me. I will be picking that up ASAP. I'll start keeping a log. I don't know why I haven't, really. Trying to utilize my terrible memory is pretty difficult! I really appreciate all of your feedback. It means a lot to me. Thank you! :) |
Hi fembot,
Welcome! This is a great place to get answers. Just because your antibody tests were negative in the past does not mean this is not autoimmune. As my PCP told me there are so many antibodies in the human body, the medical community has only begun to scratch the surface of testing for them. I am sorry that you r going through this. I know it is very difficult but it is necessary to try and keep you stress level down. I don't know if you have ever meditated but it does work in times of stress. Try to find something that helps to relieve your anxiety. I'm guessing that you need your job. Is it possible to look for another while still working there? Also, do you have dry mouth and eyes. I have a been dx'd with small fiber neuropathy and Sjogren's. Look Sjogren's up on line and see if it matches with your symptoms. I know how hard it is to not be able to exercise. I too was at the gym 5-6 days a week for a few hours. If you are continuing to exercise only do as much as you can. Don't push it. You will come to understand it is not worth the pain. When do you have your next appointment with your neurologist? Before you go write down any questions or tests you may want done. It makes it easier for you and the doctor. If you are able take someone with you. Write down the answers you get so you can refer back to them. Good Luck hopeful |
@hopeful -- Despite the negative test results, I still do believe that it's something autoimmune. It's just finding a doctor that can commit themselves enough to help me has been the difficult part. I think I've finally found the one, but only time will tell. I'm trying to remain optimistic.
I haven't been to the gym in a very long time -- except, funny enough, about 2 months ago I had FINALLY just started going again... and then I no longer could. I can't even bring myself to try right now, as much as I wish I could will myself to do it. When you're too weak to push a door open, then I think that's pretty much a sign that you're not going to go work out. :thud: I haven't experienced any kind of dry mouth or eyes. I do not seem to have matching symptoms with Sjrogren's. My next appointment should be this coming week (although with the insane amount of snow we're getting, I'm almost going to say I'm not very positive about that). My significant other accompanies me to the doctor -- as moral support and because I forget a lot of things, so I'm thankful for that. As for the stress, it's very difficult to avoid and I cannot be without a job right now. It's a very tricky situation that I'm currently in, and the industry that I'm in isn't exactly relaxing. I'm working on trying to get myself out of there, but seeing as how I cannot drive myself anywhere at this current time, I feel very stuck. I work with my s/o, so he's been driving us to and from work for the last month. My mother keeps trying to convince me to attempt going on some kind of temporary disability, but I don't know if I feel like that's a good idea. I really feel like I should just keep trying. I don't want to give up. |
I'm sorry you can't get out of the job. With the economy the way it is that is a very difficult decision to make. Try deep breathing when something happens in work. Sometimes you just have to realize other people are not worth making yourself feel worse.
As for exercising I too have put it aside. Maybe someday we will be able to return. There is always hope. Let us know how your doctors appt. goes. I'm glad you found a doctor that you think cares. That so important. |
