O.P. = original poster.

Also one must also consider lab error, in any really strange reading that seems unrealistic.

So that 4.4 should be rerun, again to be sure it wasn't an error.

Skipper, you should be testing yourself several times a day to see what your lows really are. I don't see that information in your posts. Also I would include 1am or so too. Are you having vivid dreams, nightmares or night terrors at night? Disturbed sleep is one sign of low blood sugar.

That's an interesting fact Mrs. D. I have been having many nightmares lately. I was wondering why. However, I am not diabetic. I thought maybe meds but I haven't changed on added anything.

Some vitamins stimulate dreaming. B6 pyridoxine esp.

And some drugs too. But in a diabetic who suddenly is getting low blood sugar during the night, when they were not dreaming that way before, disturbing dreams or anxiety in the sleep can signal a blood sugar low.

I knew a gal whose husband was sleep walking and going to the kitchen and emptying out cupboards to find food, and he needed his insulin lowered. He often did not remember any of it.

Ambien also will cause sleep eating and sleep walking and some even sleep DRIVING!

There are many things that potentially cause sleep disturbance.
