I suppose i can add a little to this thread, as i now can go months without any symptoms at all, but the numb soles are always there but they are regaining feeling in differant parts and even the worse affected parts are now showing signs of regeneration.
My pattern of my healing was, when i started to get a pain free day, it was followed by worsening of symptoms the next day, that went on for ages, then a period of good days got longer, than again they would go stupid for a while then a week of good days slowly built up to weeks and then eventually months.
As its already been explained that each individual is going to be different but yours are sounding real good to me, but don't get disappointed if it flares at any time, its probably only the nerves still trying to heal properly.
keep up the good work your doing real well
Brian

Default Brian, have to ask...

Do you think your surgery made any positive contributions?
I guess it would be 'reassuring' in a way to know such things work better than my old memory bank serves in terms of 'odds-what-they-don't-tell-you' stuff.
While the 'back' to date hasn't been deemed an issue for me [knock wood real quick here ALL please!] one never knows......
I am truly happy that your s/x's are decreasing so. ...Can I say I'm jealous? Bask in it dear!

Jarratt, once you start sleeping, the next hurdle is the 'dreaming' stuff. You probably haven't for quite a while and when a body starts, well, that dream-mode goes into a sort of 'warp-drive'! Just be prepared [you are NOT going crazy!] for, the bizarre, surreal, and totally weird. So much of the meds we do take do good things, they also do other things...some such as interupting our sleep patterns in many different ways. I just hope you have a vivid dream about the sheep in that mattress ad or the like? They're kind of cute at least... Hugs - j

Thanks, Brian! I'm just so grateful to find what seems to be the reason for my PN. *grumbles about doctors*

I can take the return of the symptoms from time to time. They're milder than they ever were and as it feels different from what I had before it sure feels like healing to me.

Not sure if you saw my reply to Rose earlier but last night I had almost no pain again. So maybe I'm going forward again. I doubled the B-12 I was taking when the pain came back. Maybe that helped push me past this episode as well. One can hope.
