It helped me find a doctor willing to work with me to help control the pain...and I got lucky.

Default humor

Pain makes it satisfactory to have the dogs do the dishes. provided I keep the toilet lid down

Pain makes me put floating worms back on solid ground.

Pain makes me keep a piece of driftwood in my water feature, so hapless critters have a life preserver.

Pain makes me stop to pick up turtles on the road.

Pain makes it OK to have dog snot on the lower half of my patio door.

Pain makes it OK to wear exactly the same set of clothes for more than 48 hours some days.

Pain makes ice cream a meal.

Pain makes me dress in layers, including a down comforter.

Pain makes me ask for 3 extra pillows at the hotel desk.

Pain makes me grunt and groan so hard on the bike trail, that I don't have to warn any one I pass...they have already called 911 by the time I get near them.

Pain makes me buy running shoes that are way too good, just so I remember what it is like to really be a runner.

Pain makes me have a heating pad in every room....and burn them out frequently.

Pain makes me know exactly where Orion is at 2:35am, 3:25 am, and 4:56am and 5:64am...no wait, there is no 5:64am...when did I take my last pain pill again?? .

Pain is constipating, or it makes you puke. Go figure.

Pain is never where the doctor pushes or prods. It goes somewhere else until you leave the doctor's office....unless they are sticking a needle or tube in somewhere, and you say it is painful...and they tell you it is 'uncomfortable.'

Pain is Niap spelled backwards....it makes no sense whatever.

Cyclelops, this is funny and also very profound. This is great food for thought! Pain makes it okay to wear ugly shoes with a really cute outfit. Pain makes it okay to nap guilt free. I love this philosophy!
