--that the expression on that Lab's face clearly indicates the Christmas hat was someone else's idea--one must stoically endure these crazy humans and their fashion choices.

It could also be her (the Labbie's) feelings about cameras/flash photography, or sensing/smelling the handler's trepidation about getting her to sit still for it, or even defference to the alpha's presence (not looking him/her straight in the eye).

It's difficult to tell what's really going on behind those glassy eyes.

BTW, DW wants to know how Wide-O got a picture of Ol' Furface. Without a cursory examination of their respective undercarriages, they're ringers.

yes delivery was by a reproductive vet specialist. everything is good. normal for this breed not hot or infected no lumps, checked 3x a day .

They are impossibly cute indeed!

As for Patsy's picture: IIRC Mrs. Wide-O was sitting in front of her, no doubt with a treat, while I took the picture. It's always tempting to read something into it - the Germans call it "hineininterpretieren" - but chances are she was just watching the treat, being very much unfazed by the strange apparel she had to wear .
