But I had a major increase in neuropathy symptoms after taking moderate doses of B vitamins for a few months, then the symptoms improved a lot when I cut back on the supplement. Two different doctors suggested that the B vitamins (my blood levels of B6 are pretty high) could be a factor in the neuropathy.

Okay so this is very interesting. I quit ALL supplements upon my doctor's advice back on Thursday. I am already feeling better. Who knows if it is that or I was just having a flare and am on the backside of it.

My B6, B12 and B1 levels always come back as high. Since everything I read and have been told was that other than B6, the other B vitamins are good for neuropathy these levels did not concern me. Perhaps some of us are sensitive to supplementation and unfortunately cannot follow the sticky thread regime?

I am unsure about the histamine factor for myself but worth investigating. And I disregarded the night shade vegetables until reading it again from a few of you especially my new found expert Mrs. D. I had an avocado tomato salad with a homemade dressing that also included red chili powder and my feet were bothering me that same night. There must be a relation there....

Oh it is getting exhausting thinking of all the things I cannot have these days

With food intolerances there is a slight possibility you can reintroduce them gradually like once a week, after you have been off them several weeks.

I've read a book written by a naturopathic worker who said some people can have the offending thing (usually not with gluten however) once a week sometimes.

I've started adding back my Curry mix spice into my chicken soup, and it is not giving me burning at night like I used to have.

But doing the elimination part for 2 weeks or more can be a drag, I agree.

Once you stop the burning from a food (or food group) you have identified as a trigger, you will get used to not eating it. The motivation can be very strong to stop pain.

I think they are refferring to normal people, however someone that has a nuero problem already IMO are more sensitive to B6. My level was 106 and my doctor said it was fine but I felt better after taking it out of my diet.

Good morning. Well, several of you have been helping me with my questions about Cymbalta and also the use of artificial sweeteners. I have been following the supplementation regime on the sticky thread for a little over two weeks now and unfortunately it has coincided with my neuropathy pain and muscle weakness worsening.

I went in to see my neurologist yesterday as it was really scaring me how quickly the pain was progressing. She had already switched me to 5mg of Lexapro. Now she wants me to stop all the vitamins and also avoid seafood for the next two weeks (previously had high mercury levels).

What do you all think about this plan???

I use an all natural sweetener Stevia it is also called Via comes in green box or bag check it out also try to cut out all the high fructose corn syrup possible
