Hi hopeful!
Balance is usually affected. Almost all of us to some degree or other. I started using a cane or hiking pole just to catch myself. Now I put more weight on them because of weakness, but the balance went first. I have never been able to stand on one foot for more than a few seconds, even when young. The inability to tell where the feet are or in what position relates to this.

Water therapy sounds very safe. I hope it helps!
