Alan Just Got The Results Of His Blood Tests
The blood was taken the day after he had that botched up IVIG bag last week. The blood work was all out of whack. Also that day Alan came home from the blood test with a fever of 101 so he could have had an infection that tainted the results. The numbers in the CBC thing was a little off.
Dr. Fred said "Alan's fever (and the fact that he just got the two infusions) could have screwed up all these numbers, let's run the tests again, so we did." So Alan got all new blood tests today. He got a thorough examination from Dr. Fred and it was all thumbs up. So he's doing good. We also asked Dr. Fred about what to do if the foot guy wants to operate....well, what do we do about his IVIG infusion, I mean, how do we play around with the dates of these things??? Dr. Fred said that if Alan has an operation for example, on June 18, he would be able to get the infusion 7 days later. It's all how Alan reacts to the surgery. He said "you don't do it in the same week". I said 'I figured that". So all in all it was a good checkup. He even checked Alan's foot. We adore our Dr. Fred!!! Melody |
