So does your label say NIACIN? Can you give me a link to your product online?

This is the product:
http://www.optimox.com/pics/ATP_Cofact.htm Same as you had posted earlier. I got it on amazon: http://www.amazon.com/OPTIMOX-ATP-Co.../dp/B002D9DFQ2 A specially formulated high potency vitamins B-2/B-3 combination, containing100mg of Riboflavin and 500mg of Niacin (as Inositol hexanicotinate) per tablet So, I am not sure what this means, I guess I am slow. I mean it is as you say, the non flush kind. And it did not cause normal flush or any other symptom but it is the cause of my pain |

Thanks for the link... that is the one I found too.
What this means is that you did not get real flushing Niacin in that tablet. It has the non-flush form inositol hexanicotinate. from your link: Quote:
It is not really typical to find OTC very high dose NIACIN...that flushes. There are some delayed release types OTC but they are less common. High dose niacin requires periodic monitoring of liver functions, so is not used OTC much at all. The RX versions are 500mg - 1000mg It is conceivably possible to flush with the non flush type, but very very rare. (just because 100% never exists in biological systems) I'll try to search this histadine metabolic error later this week sometime for you.

Ya I read that too which is why I don't understand why it hurt my feet so bad. And it only hurt my feet, nothing else.
Thanks MrsD! |

It might be the serotonin thing... niacin is a precursor to serotonin.
Dr. Cohen has that too you know and he uses an antihistamine from Canada that blocks serotonin too. (like cyproheptadine here, which you could ask for as a trial).
