I like my Dr. and I had confidence in him but I don't know anymore if I do.

My feet have bothered me since October last year and all he did was prescribe GABA the by my request Lyrica.

The Appt I have to see the Neurologist was my idea cuz I was in so much pain. That was when the DR suggested the EMG.

He should have done that back in October not take something rub it up the bottom of my foot and dismiss me.

They better watch out the Drs. They just practice on us and want the big bucks.

I also call My Dr. office to get set up with a nutritionist .. . . He should have done all that . .. .

Maybe it's my age 60's they could care less about us.
My Rhuemitologist apologized today, as she wrote a new Rx for yet another powerful anti-inflamitory, even though I have told her that I didn't have inflammation, so guess what? They are not helping, surprise!
she said it is embarrassing that they have to just go down the list of pharmacuitical, to see if one works... I think she thinks the PN is caused by inflammation, well I thought I would give it a try, maybe it will help with the chronic muscle pain. I have been to doctors that have a centergistic approach; nutrition, supplements, and some Rx. It works a lot better then the pill pushers! But it is probably frustrating for neuralogists and docors faced with diseases like PN, with no cure, and with only toxic pharmaceuticals and masking narcotics.

Probably never ! But if they did what would they call it ? ......hummmm.....
Medical I Know All Offices, Medical I Got This Offices, Medical ? I'm not very good at making names up but I'm sure some of you could get some good ones rolling.

This is just a crazy condition.....never knowing what's coming next. I would love some hours of relief but nope, not me....I had to be 'devoid' of A and C Fibers.......wish I could of just had a few they could have worked on...lol

My neuro has me on gaba and Cymbalta at this time. It's my understanding that when we/he determines the Cymbalta is not doing what I need it to do that he will back off that and add lyrica to my gaba. After that who knows ? I'm just going along with him until I either get enough relief to have some daily quality of life or he runs out of ideas. If that happens then I'll have some big decisions to make. Mine (SFN) reared it's ugly head last year a month after my chemo ended.....sudden, extreme onset of feet and hands for months and then before the end of the year....I think.....it started moving into legs, arms, jaw and now my teeth even hurt. Everybody is different in how they present and then progress. I think I said that right

Take care everybody

Hi Debi, about that jaw pain- I was just at the dentist on Monday and he said that I was clenching my teeth, probably from the increased pain I am having at night. I am waking up with sore jaws and thought I might be clenching my teeth but he spotted it right away because of the wear.
I am sleeping better having discovered ibuprofen PM which knocks me out, but if it persists I will be getting a bite guard.
