Default Computer Pledge Poll - Part Two!

Many thanks to all of you for responding to the poll regarding contributions towards a laptop for Billye.

Liza Jane has asked me to coordinate donations for this. Billye is currently using a loaned laptop. As we all know, loaners aren’t forever. She will need a laptop for her recovery period, and also ongoing – it’s very difficult to sit for any period at the computer with back pain.

Should you wish to contribute, please PM me to let me know the amount you can pledge. This is not a case of you having to give – we understand many are on very limited incomes – but any little bit you may be able to spare will go a long way towards that laptop! Details of how you can contribute will be sent to you via PM.

We will then purchase the machine based on the total contribution amount.

Thanks so much to all of you, and also don’t hesitate to PM with any questions.

I was looking for a laptop for my daughter and found sites where they sell refurbished ones also depending on cost factors.

you might even ask on some manufacturers sites about any donations for persons with disabilities or special conditions. They can use it as a tax write off.

It doesn't hurt to ask right?

Look into Apple.
But if it has to be M$oft- get one with XP, not Vista
(see my post on the other thread)

Default Stuff

Hi again,
Anyone who does have connections with any manufacturers, please if you can, look into and let me know!

And again, as soon as we know where we stand financially we'll do our best to accomodate Billye's needs on systems, etc.!!!!

Thanks

Default Thanks

Thanks so much to those of you who have contributed so far, and as suggested by Curious, I've also put a notice in our "classifieds" section.
