I live in Arizona where medical MJ is legal. I have tried the expensive pocket vaporizer with all the different strains of weed. Did nothing not even a high. Tried the MJ juice which put me above the burning for about an hour. Tried a brownie and didn't know an edible takes a long time to take effect so I was zoned out and scared the heck out of my husband. Tried gummy bears which caused me to end up passed out on the bathroom floor. I have spent a great deal of money to get the MJ card, to buy the product all for no help. I am not renewing the card which expires next week. Am also trying to sell. The expensive vaporizer and grinder. Save your money.

Bckay1, it sounds like you tried everything but smoking it. Before you let your card expire, I suggest you try this. Its worked for a long time for a lot of people.
It reminds me of a friend of my wife, who was battling cancer with chemo. My wife asked me to get him some 'cookies'. I went to the dispensary and brought some to his house. A couple of days later I called his wife and asked how it went. She said he didnt like the taste, so he didnt eat more than a tiny bite. I said I'd bring him a joint so he could get some relief. The wife said he wanted to try the candies. Same thing, he didnt like the taste. A day later the wife calls and asks me to get her some oil so she could make the cookies he liked. I said no. I again offered to bring him a joint and she said no. He died a couple of weeks later. Apparently smoking a joint was worse than going through the chemo process? |

I can tell you from my own experience that certain types of pot make my symptoms go away almost as if they didn't exist to begin with. I can get up and walk like I used to do. I can do my chores like I used to do. It also helps me sleep and I have major sleep issues. I smoke it. I'm a smoker (cigarettes) anyway. So I'm not all that concerned about the lung issues. And the amount needed to achieve the relief I get is a couple of tokes. So if you do that say 3 times a day, which sounds about right to me given how long the effects last, I don't see that as a major problem. Also, consider what all these other drugs are doing to the other organs in one's body.
We've actually considered moving to a state where it's legal, like Colo., and not just for the medical pot. Some states that have medical marijuana don't cover PN. Some cover the broader category of, "Chronic Pain" which PN certainly is. Other states are very narrow in what is allowed to be treated. So if you're going to move to be able to use it somewhere like Colo. just makes more sense to me. Regarding edibles: One can eat it, drink it, use the concentrated form, AKA as Rick Simpson Oil (like hash oil I imagine) consumed in so many drops so many times a day, vape it, etc. There are many ways to use it. But only if you live in a state where it's legal. sigh I sure hope they legalize it here soon.

Oh wow, I sure hope not! I don't do cold.
Sooo....looks like a move to Colo. isn't out of the realm of possibility then. Yes, I live in Va.
