I was mailed a copy of my emg results before my appointment with my neurologist. Clearly there is something wrong but I am impatient and would love to heave some help figuring out what my results mean before seeing my doctor.
"Evaluation of the left peroneal motor nerve showed prolonged distal onset latency (6.4ms), reduced amplitude (2.1mV), and decreased conduction velocity (B Fib-Ankle, 39 m/s). All remaining nerves were withing normal limits. Side to side comparisons showed a significant difference in amplitudes for the peroneal motor nerves with the left side being reduced (80.2%) and for the superficial antisensory nerves with the left side being reduced (70.8%)." Any insight would be much appreciated! |
