Default blood test for Anti-Hu Antibodies

I have a question:

I had EMG and NCS of all extremeties yesterday, all positive for long and small fiber neuropathy.
Then the neurologist ordered 17 different blood tests. One was Anti-Hu Antibodies. I do not understandthis test.

any suggestions?
Thanks
