Why do I think I'm celiac? A few months after I turned 21 I started getting extremely sick. Hung over feeling even (without drinking) and awful stomach pains. After a few doctors and false diagnosis (ulcers, dehydration etc.) I saw someone who suggested I get a food allergy blood test done. It was not the antibody test commonly used now. That showed that I needed to cut gluten and when I did all my issues went away. In the first year I would occasionally cheat and would get sick nearly every time. Now if I accidentally get something I feel hung over/dizzy for at least a week.
I have no reason to think its Celiac disease other than this. I guess it could be gluten-intolerance but that doesn't change much for me. I already avoid gluten, dairy, tree nuts, peanuts. Adding nightshades to that list makes eating nearly impossible but if I can get the feeling back in my fingers and toes it will be well worth it! |

There are still plenty of fruits, vegetables, and non-gluten grains you can eat. I'm not say it will be easy, but doable. Spend your time on the produce isle. You are talking B-12 (methylcobalamin), right? I forget if you mentioned that. Ron |
