Default It's Sandals and Flip Flop Season...

O.K... I've been wearing my tennis shoes all winter, with my soft cuddly diabetic socks. At home, my soft snuggly slippers that are fur lined and gentle on my feet.

It's HOT! I can't stand the HEAT on my feet now! I want to wear sandals, or flip flops, but I can't stand the shoes touching my feet!

I broke down and painted my toenails all pretty, even got out the ankle bracelets... put on the sandals for a Memorial Day BBQ... and after 15 minutes in the car on the way there... OFF they came! I wanted my slippers Do they make fuzzy flip flops? Can I wear them to work in a corporate office? Hey, I got away with my white tennis shoes

Any suggestions? Any ideas? It seems the surfaces of the shoes are irritating to my feet... the sandals have that "leather, or faux leather feel" so when my foot touches them especially on the top of my foot it irritates my foot, like sitting on a hot leather seat in a car with shorts on! And the flip flops, which I couldn't live without... well, FORGET about that irritating thing between my toes now!
It's so sad, have you seen the cute little things they have out now to decorate your flip flops with? There are clip on feathers, and flowers, and little bows and buttons! All kinds of fun little doo dads.

Oh, for those of you who are about to suggest Birkenstocks, I have little tiny toes, and the bump in the Birks hurts the bottom of my toes.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

Oh well your so cute, just wear cute clothes i don't think anybody
will be looking at your feet. But it's that darrn air on feet that feels
good. and let us know if you find something. Sue

Default Leather

I've suffered thru shoes. I bought and gave to the women in need shelter a fortune in the things over the last 4 years. I firmly believe that the only shoe a neuropathy sufferer can wear is a real leather one. Anything else really hurts. You have to cut down the friction on the bottom of your feet .

They are more expensive so chose carefully and don't spend money on the trend of the moment. I know, I know...I love the little bows, flippy frills, etc. But the only one around here enjoying those are the women who go to the outlet for women in need.

The heat beats my feet up, I walk in the door pop off the sandals if they aren't in my hands already and plop those tootsies on my cold tile floor, it is heaven. I have cushioned Birks, bought them in the Birk store in Old Tacoma, I love that store!! After a bit of break in I love em, not like my old standard ones that my toes went over the top of.
In the office I am shoeless behind my desk and pretty comfy until the air conditioner comes on and that cold air blasts under my desk, then I whip out my chenille booties and walk around in them. I work in collections in the back of a credit union so no one ever wants to come talk to me anyway.
My closet is full of "losers" that I am still hanging on to and waiting for remission or cure, tennis shoes, haven't worn in three years, used to live in them, God, I miss my tennies.

Default I've gotten some of those ...

earth shoes, and while they're nice...I can feel every single thread stitch that touches my skin! The collection of also-almost-rans is huge!

I wear [with socks, cause my toes are ALWAYS COLD!] this brand in a type that's similar...the lining is soft and they are adjustable everywhere for when feet swell.

http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/11659028.html

I've two pairs, beige and the dusky blue -have had them for 3 years and wear them all the time, except for snow. They start going on sale in August or thereabouts...I found socks to match the dusky blue ones and I have 'matching feet' then!

Now IF ONLY I could find comfy socks and slippers...the bags I'm filling with rejects is getting big! - j

Actually, they do! They're flip-flops that are lined and fuzzy like bedroom slippers. I've been thinking of trying a pair. I'd rather go barefoot any day or as close to it as I can get. I hate to wear shoes. BTW, Walmart had them.

Will someone please tell me WHY THEY INVENTED THOSE CROCS!!!!

They are all over the mall, everybody in my neighborhood is wearing these things. Some women wear them with the strap in the back, some wear them with the strap over the foot.

AND THEY WEAR THEM IN ORANGE!!!!
