hi Appu

Do you wear skinny jeans or tight fitting clothing at all? It's just one leg? Do you know what your doctor has based his diagnosis on?

Hi and welcome.

Glad you found your way to NeuroTalk. There is a sub-forum devoted to Meralgia Paresthetica. See Lara's link.

MP can be caused by many different things. Sometimes it can be a transient type problem and with some, it can be a lifelong problem.

Are you having any symptoms other than just the numbness in your thigh? Any burning, electrical shocks, etc.? Do you have any extreme sensitivity to anything touching your thigh? Pins and needles?

Do any particular activities bring on pain? Like walking, standing, etc.? Is there any relief by changing positions?

If we can be of any help, please ask. We are here to help you if we can. Sometimes just knowing you are not alone can be beneficial.
