The one with the dog with no front legs was totally inspiring.

I think that owner was very loving and positive for this dog. I wonder if
she has thought to take the dog to nursing homes, etc? or daycares for children with special needs? He would be wonderful there!

Thanks for posting the u-tube. For those who like animals----Animal Planet has new videos of pets and animals doing funny stuff...I saw some very entertaining new cat ones on the holiday. Planet's Funniest Animals is the show.

I leave Animal Planet or a "cat sitting video" on for my cat when I go to doc aptts - he was a rescue and suffers bad abandonment issues - (after a year we're finally making progress) - but this I can tell he's watched way too many episodes of "Meerkat Manor" (on Aniaml Planet) he's watching the birds outside today standing only on his hind legs - balancing! (just like a Meerkat!) Maybe I can teach him to do sunmersalts like the cat in the video or some of the other tricks

I just saw the cat videos and they are real hoot - was laughing so hard that Vicki (my wife) heard me all the way upstairs. I got her to watch too so she could see what real cats do as opposed to her 13 yr old furry lump that lays about and sleeps ~20hrs a day, play time for him is usually 1-5:00AM.
In any case these were really great - I'll save them for future days.

There was a book published called 'The Silent Meiaow' or the like... That cat I had at the time...well, I have to say that HE must have read that book while I was at work! He starting doing things spontaneously that he'd simply ignored before I got the BOOK!

Example I would sew...cat would be looking out the window...until I got the book -THEN he would sit on the backside of the machine to 'hold the material' down...Then he'd decide to 'play' with the machine arm as I was trying to sew...adventures continued...No doubt he read that book..

Imagine what trouble cats could get into if they learned how to get into YouTube? That is one scary prospect! - j

I am glad you enjoyed them Alkymst, we have a 18 year old cat with the same exercise routine as yours, just sleeps all day long she's only is awake for breakfast, lunch and tea

Dahlek, i think they are a lot smarter than we give them credit for and they KNOW exactly how to get our attention to them, they have trained us well

I dont know how many of you watch Jay Leno (do you get to see him down under?) - but he's always talking about his cat that sleeps 23 1/2 hours a day - and also that the deer in his yard watch animal planet on his big screen t.v.

This is my creature with the issues -does he look at all concerned about anything? No, he knows I'll do it!

We do get a lot of your shows but i haven't seen a Jay Leno show myself, is he the guy that has a show like David Letterman, i sorta recall the name but if its the guy i am thinking of, i think i remember seeing him interviewing the late Steve Erwin at one time, sad stuff all of that.
Your puss looks like a very well loved and very contented feline, without a worry in the world ours lays like that too, but with her front paws sitting on her chest, makes you laugh. .

This one we have is a very serious trip cat, she doesn't walk beside you much but runs in between your legs, it was great fun when i was on crutches
