That being said, Yellow Borneo is probably my very favorite so far. It takes my burning away and gives me a nice clean focused kind of energy. I like to have both and to find them in one strain for me is awesome.

I've experimented with different greens, which are supposed to have the qualities of both Reds and Whites. I don't have a favorite yet. I have not experimented with any whites alone yet as I don't want to get too hyped up. I do have a blend called "energy blend" that has a white strain in it. I mix 1/8t energy blend with 1/4t relief blend and I do get a lot accomplished without feeling out of control, high or bad in any way.

The crazy thing about Kratom is if you take a small amount (I take about 1/4t-1/2t, never more that 1 t) you feel energized. If you take larger quantities it's sedating.

There are red strains that are especially good for nighttime and insomnia and by using them I've been able to cut back on my sleep meds. I'm going to try to wean off them after the opioids.

If you have any questions you know I'll be happy to answer them.

Are you still taking Kratom...still the same blends.. Not the capsules. I bought some a couple yrs ago but threw it away due to the fear from the pharma world. I'd like to try again for pain.

Any issues with elevating blood pressure or constipation. Thanks...C

Hi, I was wondering if someone could help me find quality Kratom. I tried to purchase from a site I found but the site would not take payment.

Thanks in advance. I appreciate this thread.I never heard of it until I came here.

Hi
Please be aware of the recent FDA warnings and updates on the risks of using this product

FDA oversees destruction and recall of kratom products; and reiterates its concerns on risks associated with this opioid

**This may be the reason you were unable to complete your purchase?

Magnolia, a person on another health group buys from this company, they have a toll free # and you could ask about payment.

Buy Kratom Capsules & Powder Online | kratom-k.com

This same person gave us this link. The Kratom Bible - A Complete Guide to Kratom | Enso Botanicals

I haven't decided whether to try it again or not. I just hope the ibuprofen isn't destroying other parts of my body.

Personally, I worry a lot about pharma FDA approved drugs. I've had damage from some. Best thoughts to you and hope you'll let us know IF you go to Kratom. C

I therefore posted the FDA link as that may be the reason why.

I understand, it's a reasonable point.

And mine was just that previous kratom users who could legally obtain kratom for chronic pain, now either have nothing or have moved onto often more dangerous substances.

I'm sure it was being abused by a minority of people, but it is fairly safe compared with other stuff they might be using. So the whole thing doesn't make much sense to me.

It so OFTEN boils down to money for pharma and their stockholders etc etc etc.

For me the most important thing I think about when purchasing Kratom is if the company tests their raw product for the widest variety of contaminants, including biologics, heavy metals, and pesticides. The company and staff also need to practice GMP (Good Manufactoring Practices.) A number of the companies are taking this much more seriously since the FDA's bad press. I personally feel the FDA's reports were all about the loss of revenue for Big Pharma with this plant. However, the fact that suppliers realize the future of the plant is somewhat dependent on them I would consider that to be the silver lining from the FDA's report.

Yes Caroline I am still using Kratom. I use mostly green strains now which helps me with energy, mood and pain. I use certain reds in late afternoon or evening. My blood pressure is not elevated and I am not constipated. Some people do get constipated supposedly by taking reds. I also drink a lot of water which I always have. I had a complete blood work up done recently and my cholesterol was lower then usual and everything else was good. I’m sorry I hadn’t seen your PM. My granddaughter, son and dil were visiting for February and I’ve been very busy.
