I have also had unilateral (left-sided) dominant symptoms, only within the last few years have things shown up on the right. Not nearly as pronounced.

The emg/ncs is really a subjective test. I've had many, and not one of them is alike. I mention a teaching hospital because they do them often, and on a population with more varied disease processes. If you had an abnormal one, then a normal one, I might want to see what a 3rd one says. Long fiber damage usually doesn't disappear.

Talking with your neuro is a good idea. Show him the lizajane spreadsheets & see what he thinks.

jenng - my doc originally thought I had a reaction to a virus or something of maybe a form of Guillane-Barre because my reflexes returned upon the second visit and wast tripping as much either. The first round were not significantly abnormal but I will dig up the results when I get the chance for further input.

Ok I looked for the results but I can't seem to locate them . I had a couple more questions thank u to everyone who has replied

I had a weird sensation in my fingertips like they were fuzzy or buzzing . It happened when my hands were warming up after being outside but the feeling wasn't coldness . I have had this before but it it very sporadic ... Thoughts on this ?

Also I used to have burning in my feet but don't get that anymore cold this be because they have started to numb ?

Last question - I have heard people say neuropathy can be a slow progressing thing how slow is slow ?

Boiler... I'd look to circulation problems if you have that reaction to warming up.

Everyone gets that buzzing or tingling when warming up ears, or extremities from being in cold weather.

The PN type may be due to spasms or inflammation of the small vessels, instead under less extreme conditions.

Vit E (natural mixed tocoferols), fish oil, magnesium and some try arginine products, will help with opening spastic blood vessels so the blood can flow better. People with MGUS or cryoglobulinemia may need RX vasodilators.
People with high homocysteine also get inflamed blood vessel linings, so B12, folate and B6 may help this. Vasculitis also may be present and that is an autoimmune problem. A good curcumin supplement (optimized type), has shown promise in studies to quell some blood vessel inflammations.

I have osteoarthritis, and when it is bad, I get a buzzing in my first finger joints during low barometric pressures during storms.
