Works for some, not others. I have tried four times without success. I am trying again next week.

What works for some and not for others? Im sorry, What are you trying again next week? I dont know what else to do and I cant afford to lose anymore weight. For me its low carbing and exercise to keep my sugar levels down (A1C)

Default Update for acupuncture treatment

I went for my first treatment yesterday. I had to reschedule it so thats why it took so long to post the results. It hurt! The needles were very thinnest gauge and it just was not comfortable. Staying in one position was difficult because of the nerve. muscle, and joint pain. I guess my nerves are so damaged that it just hurt. It was not relaxing or soothing but...I wound up having a pretty ok day though (of course it would be a lousy day compared to my life before this crap), but it wasn't a terrible day. I think I'll give it another try. It did not exacerbate anything and maybe it will be better next time.

Hi Healthgirl
A pretty OK day is good for a change. I know "we" don't get them very often. I have been wanting to try Acupuncture for a while now. I keep getting different reviews. Some say it hurts , some say it doesn't. The "nerve, muscle and joint pain" is that caused from your neuropathy or was that caused from the Acup treatment. Plus, my Ins wont cover it. Does your Ins cover it? How are you feeling? Do you still get the buzzing like you did in the beginning. Did you end up getting the skin biopsy to confirm if you have sfn? I'm still aking 300 mgs Lyrica (with little help). Have you found a medication that helps with your pain and symptoms yet? I hope you have many more OK days.

Hi beatle,
I was just wondering what motivates you to try another treatment after you tried four times without success. Did you feel they helped somewhat?
If my Ins covered it, I would definitely give it a try.
Good luck on your next treatment!

Hi Marie,
All of the pain is due to the neuropathy and what ever connective tissue autoimmune thing is going on. Yes I do have the buzzing. It is so scary.
The needles hurt and a few of them felt like they were hitting nerves so she had to move them. I had to pay for it and it is expensive. That is why I will give it one more try to see if its worth it. I do not believe in "no pain, no gain" anymore.
