Default It's getting colder and I still can't wear shoes!! Help!!

So I have been dealing with drug induced PN for 6 months. My doctor has me in lyrica and said it could take up to 18 months to go away. The pain I get when I wear shoes is unbearable. I don't know what to do. It is getting colder and I can't wear my sandals any longer. Any suggestions??

Thanks!

I have terrible trouble with shoes and socks too because of the level of pain. This winter (Southern hemisphere )I tried Ugg boots with firm orthotics inside. It was definitely better than sandals which is all I had the previous winter. I hope you can find some solutions that work for you. All the best ( :

Wink

If you try our Search feature, using "shoes" as a keyword, you'll
find 9 yrs worth of suggestions for shoes and socks that are comfortable and where to buy them.

There is one thread in the SubForum above:

I'm in Georgia and have the same problem. I have small fiber neuropathy. The only way my feet are happy is when they are bare on the floor. I wear slip on sandals all year long that has an adjustable strap over the foot. When it gets cold I just add some type of sock.

I have a problem with pants also. My right foot is very sensitive and when the pant leg touches that foot the pain sends me through the roof. I try to wear capris all year long but when I absolutely can't because of the cold I have to roll the right pant leg up which isn't very appealing.

So it goes for us ! Take care.

Debi from Georgia

Loved the banter between Jon and Debi.

That was cute and funny.

Smiles all around.
