Default Can someone interpet this test result for me?

Just got out of the hospital, I understand most of my test results except this one. I know this has to do with my heart but my Doctor did not mention this resul. It says Calcific Coronary arteriosclerosis EBCT 9/09 LM 30.85 LAD :19.54 CX and RCA :0. Thanks for any clarification on what this means. jan

Sorry don't know about this one. It is very specialized.

Try Googling the test...you may find explanations of the various abbreviations.

It might be a heart scan and its interpretation. The LM, LAD, and RCA might be coronary arteries of your heart. Consider talking to your healthcare provider again for clarification.

Here are some links for a start.

Good luck.

Default Ebct--

--involves three dimensional CT imaging of the coronary arteries for calcium deposits in order to image early disease; it was developed as a less invasive way of detecting this than the usual stress testing or treadmill testing (as I've had the latter done--with good results--I would be interested in something that isn't as tiring, injecting, and time intensive).

See:

Not sure what the numbers, mean, though--there are no units given (or indications of a percentage)?
