Default Worsening Condition

In December, I had a burning sensation in my fingers. I went to the GP at my university and was daignosed with Neuropathy. He ran some blood tests to determine the cause. I had vitamin levels tested (Yes, my B12 is above 400), blood cell size and count, thyriod, diabetes all the basics, and then I was also tested for Celiac disease. Everything came back perfectly normal. My reflexes were tested around my wrists, hands, ect. Also some vibrating tests, but everything checked out perfect.

The burning sensation is triggered by heat. It is eased by placing ice and lasts up to 24 hours. It includes all of my fingers excluding my pinky fingers. Carpal tunnel has also been eliminated as a possible cause. I am not on any medications what so ever. My diet has not changed and is pretty healthy (especially according to the blood work that came back). I have also tried taking anti-inflammatory medications from tylenol to hydocodon and they had absolutely no effect.

The burning in my fingers has become more frequent. Not every time they are introduced to heat do they burn. However, it is occurring about once or twice a week. Yesterday, my FACE started burning SEVERELY exactly like my fingers. The burning section was above my upper lip and the along the left side of my nose on my cheek. Again only eased by Ice but faded after a couple of hours. I do currently have laryngitis with signs of a possible virus and maybe that is why the condition is worse, or at least I sure hope so! As the pain on my face eased up, the pain on my fingers worsened, as if it was being displaced. It was so intense I nearly went to the ER and struggled to muffle my screams. Seeing as I had a sleeping infant and my fiance works overnight, I tried to fight the pain until morning, which, by then it was 90% gone. Only a dull burn on my fingers which continues to gradually fade. The onset of the pain is gradual as well as when it goes away.

Now, I have made another appointment with the GP at the university health center in hopes of getting neurologist referral and some sort of nerve blocking medication to ease the agony until I get in to see a neurologist.

My question for you guys is has anyone experienced anything even remotely similar? I also have limited amount of money that I can pay for these tests, so where would you recommend I start to try and figure this out?
